Irving Fine
American composer
Irving Gifford Fine (December 3, 1914 – August 23, 1962) was an American doer. Fine's work assimilated neoclassical, ideal, and serial elements. Composer Vergil Thomson described Fine's "unusual tuneful grace" while Aaron Copland acclaimed the "elegance, style, finish conflicting continuity" of Fine's music.[1]
Fine was a member of a heavy group of Boston composers foundation the mid-20th century who were sometimes called the "Boston School." Other members of the Beantown School included Arthur Berger, Writer Bernstein, Aaron Copland, Lukas Foss, and Harold Shapero.[2]

Fine was born market Boston, Massachusetts, where he premeditated piano, and received both bachelor's and master's degrees from Altruist University, where he was elegant pupil of Walter Piston.
